Integra in the community

We believe that our responsibility for good practice and our commitment to forging strong relationships are not limited to our customers and our employees. We consider it a priority to build relationships and make a contribution in the communities in which we operate.

Each year we make significant donations to charity, focusing on children's issues. We also encourage our clients and partners to join us in these initiatives by sending them, once a year, a list with details of the charities to which we have made donations.

We contribute to direct action, selfhelp projects. For example, we sponsor educational projects in villages in the Gambia through Action Aid. Through UK Comic Relief we support various projects in Africa, Latin America and the UK. And we make annual contributions to projects organised by Medecins Sans Frontieres and to local charities in communities where we have offices.

Integra also concentrates charitable activities in the medical field of high-risk obstetrics. From 2001 we have been facilitating a European medical doctor exchange in this area. The first one-year exchange post was taken up in August 2001.

We arranged and sponsored a symposium on high-risk obstetrics at the new University Hospital in Edinburgh, Scotland in September 2002. Specialists from all over Europe met to exchange ideas and listen to presentations from leading experts in this field.

And our Belgian office has been instrumental in the setting up a foetal medicine charity with the Professor of Obstetrics at UCL in Brussels to fund research in this area. A member of our senior management is on the advisory board of this charity.
