Trading over 1 million tonnes of petrochemicals a year

Integra started in the late 1980s as
a European olefins trading house.

It was clear from the outset that
the petrochemical market was
changing.

US and European players were
investing heavily in expanded
capacity for petrochemical
derivatives, but were not building
sufficient upstream facilities to
supply these plants with all the
feedstock they would require.

At the same time, developing and
industrialising countries, were in
some cases planning feedstock
facilities with potential output far
greater than they could consume
in the local market. In other areas
they were building derivative units
with no local feedstock source.

The result presented
unprecedented challenges
for buyers and sellers of bulk
petrochemicals, in the East
and West alike, as they faced the
necessity and the difficulty of
safely, effectively and economically
transporting their product
between continents.

Integra had the market expertise
and the technical and logistical
skills needed to provide the unique
solutions and new services that
customers required as global
trading started to grow.

Today, Integra has grown to
become a global market leader with
more than 60 full time employees
worldwide. In 2007, Integra
shipped more than 1.5m tonnes
of petrochemicals and reported
a turnover in excess of US$1 billion.
